Children & Youth Ministry
Nursery
Birth to 4 years old
Do you have a baby or toddler? We would love to care for your sweet one during the Sunday morning service. Our Pastor’s wife, Kim, teaches the toddlers in a fun, hands on, sensory way.
Junior Church
4 years through 5th grade
Every Sunday morning during service, we have classes. Your child will learn about Jesus and the unchangeable truth of God’s Word in a safe and welcoming environment.
Throughout the year, we have fun and engaging activities like VBS and the annual Christmas Program your child can participate in.
Teens
6th grade through 12th
Have a young learner who is seeking a deeper understanding of God’s word, we have a class for that! During the Sunday morning service, we offer a class led by Dave and Kim Bash. They will help answer those lingering questions your teen has about the Bible, apologetics, faith, the world, and so much more.
Children’s Resource Library
3 years through High School
The church now offers a resource library for your child. It is located in the narthex. Help your child grow deeper in their faith at home. This is a great opportunity to learn about apologetics. Teach your child the importance of defending their faith. There are many books that would work for family devotions, or Q & A on a long road trip!
Scan the QR code below to see the entire list of books with descriptions, the author, and intended age range:
If you want to take a book home, simply scan the QR code inside the back cover. Fill out the google form and you are done. When you are finished, put the book back. Please be sure to scan the QR code again and mark the book as checked in!

Music & Sound Minitries
Sing praises to the Lord with us. We have a dedicated team who serves the church with their musical and sound system talents. We are so grateful for all they do! The team prepares the weekly music, power point slides, and sound. All you have to do is sit down and enjoy. Just don’t get too comfortable sitting. Pastor Orndorff is sure to ask you to stand and join him in the congregational singing.
If you are interested in joining the music or sound system ministry, be sure to let us know.
Prayer Breakfast
Searching for deeper fellowship?
Attend one of our monthly prayer breakfasts! This is a time of food, fellowship, prayer, and studying God’s Word. We have a breakfast for just the men and separate breakfast for just the women. See the Church calendar for the dates.
Operation Christmas Child
Every year, the National Collection Week for OCC takes place the third week in November with more than 4,500 drop-off locations open across the country. Temple Baptist Church serves as a drop-off center! You can be a part of this ministry in many ways:
The church collects donations for the shoeboxes every month throughout the year. Making a donation is as easy as placing your items in the box in the narthex. Be sure to check the church bulletin or calendar for each month’s list of items being collected.
You can be a part of the yearly packing party! We gather together, pray over the boxes, and pack the collected items into a shoebox for a special little boy or girl.
You can volunteer during the OCC National Collection week. Be a welcoming, friendly face to each person who walks through the doors to drop off their shoeboxes. Stay after the Sunday following to help load the boxes on to the truck to be delivered to the OCC hub.
